Let the family who cannot travel be there anyway.
Attach the broadcast you are already running — YouTube, Facebook, Zoom, or any link — to the notice. Relatives see when it starts, and join on a page of its own when it does.
On the notice
Funeral service
YouTubeStarts in 42:17
The stream never plays on the notice itself — the page stays a place to read and to leave a tribute.
How it works
Step 1
Add the stream
From your notice, add the link, give it a name people will recognise, and say when it starts.
Step 2
Everyone sees a countdown
The notice shows the date while it is days away, then hours, then a live countdown in the last hour. The stream itself is never embedded there.
Step 3
Go live when you are ready
One tap puts it live, and every open notice page updates on the spot. End it when the service is over.
Wherever you are already streaming
You do not need a new account anywhere. Paste the link you already have.
YouTube
Plays right on the watch page, from a watch, live, or short link.
Plays on the watch page through Facebook's own video player.
Zoom
Opens in Zoom, where the meeting belongs. Give people the passcode if you set one there.
Any other link
Restreaming service, church feed, or your own player — it opens in a tab.
Who gets to watch is up to the family
A funeral is not the same thing to everyone. Pick the level that fits, and change it at any point — including while the stream is running.
Public
Listed on the notice, and anyone who reads it can watch. Right for most funerals.
Unlisted
Not shown on the notice at all. Only people you send the link to can find it — useful when you want relatives to join without announcing it publicly.
Private
Listed on the notice, but a password is required to watch. Share the password with the people you want in the room. We store it in a way we cannot read back, so if it spreads you set a new one and everyone using the old one is locked out.
Changing your mind part-way through
If you make a public stream private while it is running, everyone watching is asked for the password straight away — nobody has to reload, and nobody keeps watching in the meantime. One thing we want to be straight with you about: someone who was already watching may have copied the underlying YouTube or Zoom link before you changed it. We cannot take that back — only the provider can, by ending the broadcast or changing the meeting passcode there.
Add a stream to your notice
Post the notice first — you can add, edit and start streams from it right up to the day.
