Never on a public page
Your email address is not printed on notices, tributes, reviews, comments or your profile, and it is not available to other visitors through the site or the app. Where your name appears, it is the name on your profile, or the name you typed on a tribute.
Who can see it, place by place
Our own team
A small number of InMemory staff can see account and contact details so they can answer your requests, review reports and verify notices. We do not sell or hand your address to anyone else.
What we send to it
Only emails about something you did or asked for — no newsletters and no advertising.
- Sign-in links and confirmations for your account.
- A copy of each request you send us, and our replies.
- After a tribute: one acknowledgement with a private link to change or withdraw it.
- If you look after a notice: a morning summary of tributes waiting for you.
- Updates on reports you filed, or about a notice you look after.
- A funeral home offering you a notice, and requests to verify a notice.
- If you turn them on: a quiet reminder a week before an anniversary you follow.
The tribute summary, report updates, hand-off offers and anniversary reminders can each be turned off on your profile .
Changing or removing it
Change the address you sign in with in your account settings — we confirm the new one before switching. To have an address removed from a tribute you left or a request you sent, or to close your account, write to us from the contact page . The privacy policy has the rest of the detail.
